My hair is naturally curly and feels dry and brittle at times, what should I use to help my hair feel soft and manageable that actually helps hair in the long run?

Naturally curly or wavy hair is usually more porous than other hair types to begin with. So, starting with your shampoo, use Moisture Shampoo which cleanses gently and contains natural oils which protect the hair shaft, keeping the cuticle layer more closed down. Then use the Hair Conditioning Oil to overnight condition and as well a bit when styling, this keeps your hair more flexible. I have fine hair and want to have some body to my hair style, what do I use?

The Volumizer Paste is made to give fine hair body and shine without the stiff unyielding feel of heavy gels and sprays. Start with the best way to apply this type of product for best results: On wet hair, scoop a pea-sized dollop of this paste in the palms of your hands, rub your hands together, start applying with open palms to the base of your style at the scalp, then distribute the rest in your hands to the mid shaft to tips, distribute well and then blow dry or set on velcro rollers, or let air dry. The paste can also be used on dry hair for volumizing effect. The Gel Style is another easy way to get body into fine hair, hand apply a reasonable amount into the base of your shampooed and towel dried hair, then through the rest of your hair. Style to your preference. These two products add body without sacrificing shine and movement. They can also be used on dry hair, try it and see what happens. You can mix these two products together for an additional styling blend.

I swim - a lot. What can I use on my hair so it still feels like hair afterwards?

One of the best ways I know of to combat chlorine hair issues is to put a small amount of baby oil on your dry hair mid shaft to tips. Yes, I know, it is hard to shampoo out under normal conditions, but chlorinated pools or the ocean are not what I would call normal conditions. By the time the chlorine or sea water gets the baby oil out of your hair, it will be time to shampoo with Clarifying Shampoo, which is safe for chemically treated hair and gentle enough to use daily after swimming. One shampoo lather and rinse followed by your favorite Scena conditioner will help your hair look and feel like touchable hair. I am a scuba diver and use the Hair Conditioner Oil and Leave-In Conditioner after every dive on my naturally wavy fine hair with great success.

I don’t usually use gels or other styling products, basically because I don’t like to feel anything on my hair. But, admittedly, I do like my hair to look good. What do you suggest?
